At Tunstall Emergency Response, we understand that patients with epilepsy and their carers can sometimes be limited to a restricted lifestyle because of the fear of unpredictable seizures.
However, with our highly intuitive products, which link to our 24 hour a day monitoring centre, the fear of being alone and vulnerable when a seizure strikes is drastically reduced.
How Does It Work?
Easy to install, the Companion Mini provides peace of mind by monitoring the risks and activities of those who have epilepsy. The device is designed to be placed in the center of the bed between the base and the mattress. When in place the Companion Mini monitors activity until movements associated with seizures are recognised. Verified and ongoing seizures then result in the transmission of alerts to a hand held pager, meaning a family member, loved one or carer can be on hand to assist immediately.
Maximising efficiency. It provides a very cost effective tele-care solution whilst avoiding the need for a telephone line or monitoring centre service which is often not required when full time care is being provided.
The Companion Mini is the latest addition to our range of epilepsy monitors and alarms. The digital movement sensor is our most discrete system yet and can be applied in some of the most challenging situations when supporting tonic-clonic seizures.
Designed to discreetly monitor an individuals bed-time movements, this user friendly system is simple to set up with little or no adjustment required.
Tunstall Emergency Response received the prestigious award of ‘Best Providers of Healthcare Solutions and TeleCare Solutions’ at the Public Sector Magazine 2013 ‘Excellence in Business’ Awards.
